  • Christmas Fair

    Wed 30 Nov 2022 Mrs Bates

    WOW WOW WOW...what a great Christmas Fair. The first in three years!

    Great stalls and such a team effort! Such a community 'feel' too :)

    Thanks to everyone who came and helped and supported us. We are still counting up the money, but we are impressed so far and can't wait to share the news.

    You can still take part in the raffle and the silent auctions.

    Thanks again,

    Mrs Bates

  • Silent Auction

    Tue 29 Nov 2022 Mrs Bates

    Announcing the Greasley Beauvale Silent Auction!

    Dear Parents and Carers,

    This year we are running a silent auction to raise funds for the children at Greasley Beauvale! We will have four amazing items up for auction at the Christmas Fair:

    2 x signed Panthers shirts

    A mystery football shirt

    A beautiful handcrafted Christmas wreath

    How it works:

    At the Christmas Fair on Wednesday 30th November, you will be able to place a bid on any of the items, by writing your name and bid on a piece of paper and adding it to a jar. Each item will have a reserve price (a bit like Ebay)! After the fair, we will open up the bidding on Weduc and the auction will run until Friday 2nd December.

    The successful bidder will be notified and we will take payment on Parentmail or at the school office, before we hand over the prize!

    Thank you for your support and happy bidding!

    Kind regards,

    The School Office Team

  • Head Teacher's Awards

    Tue 29 Nov 2022 Mrs Bates

    Head Teacher's Awards Update:

    Abigail - Orange 2 - For using some excellent words to describe Edgar the dragon from last year's John Lewis advert. These include: green, unhappy and sad. But, my real favourites were: Calm and Inclusive. I loved how you used our Rainbow Values here. Well done, Abigail. A very reflective session, where you really had good understanding of the advert and dragon's behaviours.

  • Head Teacher's BLOG

    Fri 25 Nov 2022 Mrs Bates

    This week, I have been so proud to walk our new potential parents and carers around school again. Children have been Ready, Respectful and Safe and following many values once again! Most impressively, children have been welcoming, well-mannered and calm. Thank you, Children. I am sure many parents, carers and children will chose us based on what they saw.

    Next week, we have so much to look forward. I have previously mentioned the Christmas Cracker event for the Greasley light switch on, but I also want to remind you all about the raffle at the Christmas fair. We have many great prizes and an opportunity to win many great treats.

    We hope that you can all join us and we look forward to seeing you again at Christmas after so many years. We are also hoping to bring in valuable funds to the school, with your support.

    Thank you and have a great weekend,

    Mrs Bates

  • Ofsted Parent View

    Thu 24 Nov 2022 Mrs Bates

    Dear Parents and Carers,

    Hopefully, you will have noticed that we are in a process of gauging views from parents and carers about school life - what we do well and ways we can improve.

    This time last year, we had just finished a very successful Ofsted inspection. As the inspectors left, they said to me that this was a 'Good' school, and we had the 'potential and capacity to keep getting better' - that is our very intention. With your help and views, this is more than possible.

    Please have your say using the following link:

    Thanks in advance for taking part,

    Mrs Bates :)

    Just to remind you that we are taking clothing and shoe donations for the Rags2Riches scheme, which can be dropped outside the main school office from 3pm Friday 25th and again on Monday 28th by 9am at the latest.

    Please note that they cannot accept any kind of school uniform and ask that any donations should be of a good quality, suitable for resale in developing world countries.

    Donation bags are available from the main school office.

    Thank you,

    The School Office and Mrs Bates

  • Cross Country Update

    Wed 23 Nov 2022 Mrs Parnell and Miss Marvin

    The year 5 and 6 cross country event took place this morning at Hall Park. Even though the weather was incredibly wet and generally horrid, the children did absolutely brilliantly. All were in great spirits on the walk there and the adults who supported were too!! Thank you .🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♂️👟☂☂☂☔🌧🌧🌧

    There were tremendous individual performances and super team encouragement from all the runners. Special mention to Thomas who won the Year 5 boy's event.

    The overall results were so amazing. There were 7 schools that took part. Well done children you deserved this:

    * Year 5 girl's race - Greasley 2nd place

    * Year 5 boy's race - Greasley 1st place

    * Year 6 girl's race - Greasley 3rd place

    * Year 6 boy's race - Greasley 3rd place

    We were very very proud,

    Mrs Parnell and Miss Marvin
