This week, the following children have received a Head Teacher’s Award:

Maddison – Orange 2 – For producing beautifully presented and developing writing. The progress since September has been amazing and we are so proud of the changes...writing on the lines, letter formation, punctuation, use of phonics and more! :)

Amelia - Red 2 - For her fantastic attitude towards her learning. She follows instructions really well, takes on advice and is just so helpful. On top of all of this, she is producing a superb piece of independent writing almost every day! :)

Bethany - Red 2 - For her super independent writing, and her ability to apply her phonic knowledge to make her work the best it can be! :)

A hard working work in school this week. We have had to have a few reminders about school rules and the behaviour ladder, but on the whole a great week with some super work being produced.

A school improvement area has been writing since January and the children have been making some super progress...I think the Head Teachers' Awards show that well. Good work, children!

A bank holiday weekend this week. So, we will see you on Tuesday. Enjoy the break and keep warm!

    Dear parents and Carers,

I would like to bring to your attention that your child has the opportunity to complete 'The Big Ask' survey from the Children's Commissioner, Rachel de Souza.

It's the largest survey of its kind of young people in England. As we look to a time beyond covid restrictions, children's views on their own lives need to be listened to.

    https://www.childrenscommissioner.gov.uk/thebigask/

Good luck and enjoy the conversations with your children as they complete the survey at home.

Fri 23 Apr 2021 Miss Manson

    Dear Parent, Carers and Children,

Thanks to everyone for all the effort that you put into our NumBots and TTRockstars dress up day today! It was lovely to see so many homemade outfits (we certainly do have some very creative families in our school community 😊) and so many children enjoying a range of maths activities this afternoon.

Over the next couple of weeks, we will be setting weekly NumBots (Reception and Year 1) or TTRockstars (Year 2 to Year 6) challenges for the children to complete. In addition to accessing at school, it would be great if children regularly accessed NumBots or TTRockstars at home too - this will certainly help with successfully completing each challenge.

A new challenge will be shared with children each Monday morning, when those who have completed the previous week's challenge will be announced too.

    Have a love weekend everyone,

    The Maths Team

    Hi Children,

I have just been to school as I heard that there was sighting of the Easter bunny over the weekend. Everything looked safe and well, and we have been left with some great new surprises for after the Easter holidays. It turns out that the Easter bunny has put some playground markings outside for all the children. The playground looks wonderful!

Can you and your parents spot any of the classics and which are your favourites?

Happy Easter everyone and see you all in two weeks safe and well.

    Easter wishes,

Mrs Bates, Mrs Poxon, Mrs Parnell and Mr Chapman x
