Head Teachers’ awards this week are rewarded to:
Louie – Red 1 – For amazing writing about the giant’s castle in Jack and the Beanstalk
Jacob – Red 1 – For super sentence writing about Jack and the Beanstalk
Tommy - Indigo 2 – For creating a fabulous fact sheet about the Amazon Rainforest and for getting his positive attitude to learning back!
Harry – Violet 2 – For his fantastic writing about Macbeth’s conscience and has written as both the angel AND the devil AND Macbeth himself. A great achievement and fully engrossed in the work of Shakespeare. Well done, Harry
After a week of assessments last week, the children enjoyed Shakespeare week. This was organised by Mrs Padley and the work across school was exciting and inspiring for the children. From Macbeth to Midsummer Night’s Dream and Romeo and Juliet, the children were exposed to the world of the performing arts and the life of Shakespeare in the theatre. We saw literature, small movie clips, animated versions and comic strips. A great way to learn about plays from the past and the work of a very famous playwright. GREAT! … Why not ask your children about their ‘sticky knowledge’ from the week?
A reminder that next week is the last week of school before the Easter holidays and our last virtual parents’ evenings.
