What an amazing day at Wollaton Park today!
The start of the Year 2 camping trip was a hit with the children (and staff) and it's safe to say that we have all had a fabulous time. We left school early in the morning and the day was PERFECT.
My group started on their first activity (orienteering!) πΊοΈππ§ Great spirits and on an adventure π We were all very competitive and the results were as follows:
1st place π₯ Mrs Bates’ group
2nd place π₯ Miss Manson’s group 3rd place
π₯ Mrs Waplington’s group
We were all on a mission and rotating those maps and navigating the flags with enthusiasm and drive!
After a lovely lunch of wedges, pizza, cucumber and carrot sticks (or jacket potato), Yellow 2 then swapped activities and were off to den build in the woods π€ποΈ whilst Yellow 1 did the orienteering πππΊοΈ
Some amazing dens were made by Yellow 1 π€©βοΈπ One group made a camp fire π₯ for roasting marshmallows; another made a seesaw and one even made an extension π€© All made great designs, used super teamwork and had fun π€© Now back to camp and hoping for no rain π
Of course, Yellow 2 (Miss Schofield's group) were just as active, but on the other side of the park.
What a lovely way to end a memorable day… marshmallows and hot chocolate around the campfire π₯
Now to no 'lights out' and waiting for the sun to set :)
Night night all
Mrs Bates (over and out after a busy day!)
