Semi-Final Football Match-Greasley V Underwood

Greasley v Underwood cup semi-final.  Final score Greasley 3 Underwood 1 (2 goals from Alfie, 1 from William)

Greasley played against Underwood in the semi-final of the cup on Thursday 7th March.

The Underwood keeper had an excellent game and pulled off some brilliant saves throughout the match. However, half way through the first half, Alfie, who was causing the defence lots of problems, finally beat him with a goal to make it 1-0.

Ashton and Isaac, two of the younger players in the team, were playing well, but had to be replaced towards the end of the first half due to injuries.

The second half saw Alfie extend the lead to 2-0 with another good goal. The game was competitive and Underwood deservedly scored to make the score 2-1.

Greasley went on to score a 3rd when William scored the goal of the game. William moved forward from the back, beating a couple of players before smashing the ball into the net.

The whole team put in a great performance and I would like to give a special mention to the younger members of the team, Ashton, Isaac, Noah and Austin.

The final is due to be played at the end of April, date and time yet to be confirmed.

I would like to thank all of those who watched the match for their support.
