SATs Good luck

So, tomorrow the SATs commence.

As I said in Rainbow rewards on Friday, the SATs obviously measure academic achievement and progress, but they do not measure how wonderful our children are!!

The children are ready for these assessments and we wish they all the luck in the world. We are there to support them through any highs and lows and we know they will do their very best!

Just a reminder about the SATs breakfasts we have planned. The hall will be open for all year 6 children from Monday to Thursday at 8:30am to come in and have some social time with their peers and have breakfast with them. If your child can't make this then please don’t worry. They just need to make sure they are in school at the usual time as the SATs begin shortly after.

Here is the timetable for the week:

Monday 13th May -      English grammar, punctuation and spelling

Tuesday 14th May -      English reading

Wednesday 15th May - Mathematics

Thursday 16th May -     Mathematics

Some important points to consider:

🌈Earlier nights will enable  the children to be alert and refreshed- ready to show what they can do.

🌈Less screen time, switching off devices earlier and more time outdoors in the days leading up to the assessments will support your child’s ability to think clearly during the tests.

🌈Eating well and drinking water to ensure hydration will support brain function too.

The children are ready to take the assessments and have worked so well towards them. We wish thm every success.

Please have a restful weekend and enjoy the sunshine. 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞
