Hi everyone 👋🏼
I just wanted to give a big shout out to our Year 6 rounders team, who took part in a tournament at Larkfields yesterday afternoon.
We played two games in the first round:
· 🔹 We won 12½ rounders to 4½ rounders against Horsendale
· 🔸 We lost 4½ rounders to 5½ rounders against Larkfields A team
This meant we went on to come second in our group and played Kimberley in the 3rd v 4thmatch... which we won! We won 6 rounders to 3½ and therefore came third, with each team member collecting a bronze medal at the end of the event! 🥉✨
Throughout the event, our Greasley team showed excellent sportsmanship, as well as the ability to slog the ball to the other end of the field and carry out some expert fielding! Some of the catches our children made we phenomenal! They worked brilliantly as a team and did themselves, and us, proud.
Thank you to Mrs Parnell, who gave up her time after school to help coach the children between games, and big thanks to all of our wonderful supporters, who we could hear cheering the kids on during the games! 😁
