Week Ending 26th October 2018
This week, the following children have received a Head Teacher’s Award:
Mason – Year 4 – Blue 1 – For writing an incredible poem about a Roman invasion with powerful vocabulary. A super poem with lots o emotive language
George – F2 – Red 1 – for working hard to learn his phonemes and then blend them to build words e.g. m-a-p and p-i-g.
Positive Praise communication went to:
Jessica in year 5, who produced her own PowerPoint to spread messages and awareness about the Autistic spectrum. She was very proud of her research and understanding and I think the slides are worth seeing by the school community. Thank you, Jessica.
Attendance figures this week are as follows:
1st place goes to Yellow 1 for 100% attendance.
2nd place goes to Orange 2 for 99% attendance.
3rd place goes to Green 1 for 98.9% attendance.
Week Ending 26th October 2018
What a fabulous end to a very busy half term. Everyone has worked so hard over the last 8 weeks and we have all had a huge drive to make sure that the children make progress and further their experiences.
Parents’ evening was a success this week and many parents discussed their positive experiences of live in school this half term. Thank you for coming and we also hope that the new school report was informative and an accurate picture of where your children are at academically. From parent voice, there are further steps we can make to make the report even better, but we do hope that you found them more useful than before.
Next term, we will continue to work on further developing teaching and learning across school; looking at ways in which to further improve teacher assessments and thinking about long term developments for our curriculum.
We hope that you have a super half term holiday
Enjoy a spooky Halloween
&
Stay safe during any bonfire extravaganzas
A reminder that school will be closed on Monday 5th November for an INSET day and school will reopen again on Tuesday 6th November 2018.
Thanks for your continued support in school. Have a great holiday everyone.
Warm regards,
Michelle Bates
