24th July 2018

What another busy and productive day!

The day started with a great assembly to celebrate the attendance of children across school. A bronze badge and certificate was provided to all the children, who have achieved 97% to 98.5%. In addition, the silver badge and certificate was awarded to children with 98.6% to 99.9% attendance. Tomorrow, we will present all the children, who have achieved 100% attendance , with a gold badge and certificate.

Following the assembly, I then met with one of our parents (a graphic designer) to discuss the way in which we can present our new vision and Rainbow Values around school in the autumn term.

Our Vision:

At Greasley Beauvale Primary School, our vision is for everyone to reach their true potential, nurture their talents and foster a personal love of learning through a safe, engaging and challenging curriculum. Our vision is shared by the whole-school community and we are proud of our school and what we stand for.

Our Aims are:

To develop our social skills in order to become effective communicators and build relationships

To take risks in our learning and challenge ourselves in our journey to reach our full potential

To be truly respectful and empathetic, allowing us to embrace individuality

To be forward-thinking, embracing creativity and nurturing curiosity about the world

To be resilient and unafraid of failure

To be independent and self-confident lifelong learners

To set ourselves high aspirations and strive for excellence so that we can be the very best we can be

Our Rainbow values are:

Respect and acceptance – “Everyone is equal, everyone is unique”

Active body and active mind – “Take ownership over your health and well-being”

Inclusive yet individual – “Embrace diversity and be proud of who you are”

Nurture, develop and grow – “Persevere and take risks with your talents and potential”

Believe in yourself – “Be confident in your choices”

Overcome your obstacles – “Be brave, show resilience and challenge yourself”

Wonder and curiosity – “Ask questions and seek answers”

At Greasley Beauvale Primary School, follow the Rainbow Values to

“Paint Your Own Rainbow”

The day ended brilliantly with the year 2 parent event as they shared their experiences of their residential to Wollaton Park. We heard camp fire songs, readings of their experiences and saw some lovely photographs…what great memories shared. We also saw the lovely art work of the children, who stayed in school.

Another great day at Greasley.

Take care,
