What another great end to the week. Another snow day IN school!
I have been proud of the children all week, but during the snow the children have shown the ability to follow the school rules and remember the schools 'Rainbow Values.
This morning, Steve (site manager) and I were delighted to have conversations with the children on the way to school as we were shovelling. We talked about keeping the school community safe and the children began to then discuss our values.
One child told us that they were 'Overcoming their Obstacles' as they were cold and the journey to school was slippery. Another told us to 'Believe in Ourselves' as we were shovelling the main paths into school, and I also joked that we were using our, 'Active Bodies and Minds'.
This is when you know you have something right going on in school :)
Everyone was very cheerful on the way into school, and I talked with many parents, carers and grandparents who were happy that school remained open and we were doing our best! :) We even had some help with the shovelling - thank you to Hunter and Koby.
Have a great weekend, everyone! ... and stay safe
