Head Teacher's BLOG!

Well, it's the final full week of school, and just three days left next week!

The pantos, shows and Christmas festivities are almost at a close...it's been a blast. The children have thoroughly enjoyed their time at Greasley over the festive period and this week the children in Reception and Year 1 & 2 were also mesmerised by 'The Singing Mermaid' at the Lakeside Theatre.

On Monday, we have carols and mince pies being served in the hall served by the choir for their parents and carers.

Learning this week has continued to 'Nurture, Develop and Grow' and the lessons have still been filled with new knowledge and skills. It's been a very busy time, but not long left now, folks!

Keep warm this weekend and a reminder to talk to your children about the dangers of ice on water. This week, I spoke to all the children about how 'Wonder and Curiosity' is one of my favourite values, as this is when we learn more and knowledge can be embedded. However, for the first time, I have also talked to the children about how curiosity can sometimes sadly lead to danger and risk. All the children agreed and were very sensible and reflective.

Take care everyone and keep safe,

Mrs Bates
