One Bright Star
Today, the Year 5 and 6 children performed 'One Bright Star' for the first time at Greasley Church, hosted by our Governor 'Rev'd Denise Dodd.
Despite many illnesses and changes of parts, the children sang beautifully and did themselves proud with their reading and carols. The church added that special touch for Christmas time, and I can't wait to watch again tomorrow (and at Easter time for some of our younger children).
Mrs Parnell was also quite poorly today, with little to no voice, but the children were led with professionalism and dedication. A huge well done to the whole of the Year 5/6 team of children, teachers and TAs so far...bring on tomorrow!
As I said today, Christmas time should always be magical and special, but for some Christmas can be a sad time, a time of expense and stress and we need to look after ourselves. See the link below if you feel like you may need some time over the coming period:
Christmas and mental health - Mind
Take care everyone and I will see some of you in church tomorrow and throughout the week with other key events within the school calendar.
