Head Teacher's Blog

What a super week. I returned from my isolation period after being COVID-19 positive, and I was so proud of the children and how hard they have been working. In addition, I was thankful to the staff team for working so enthusiastically and passionately in my absence. It's safe to say, I am glad to be back.

After time away, I was intrigued about how the children have been finding blended learning from those who spend time both at home and school. It was a positive picture overall, and I was pleased with the comments from the children. One thing we know is that working from home can be tricky and children miss the staff and their friends.

As a result of this, from next week and after half term, we will be building in interactions between home and school using Microsoft TEAMS. I did my first Rainbow Rewards today with 5 chosen children and it was just super! It's safe to say that Amelia from Year 2 was a highlight and made everyone's day in the meeting.

We look forward to interacting with you more remotely over the next few weeks so please do ensure that you read the school's protocols and opt in to say that you consent to your child taking part and that you have read and understood the home school agreement for remote working.

Take care everyone and keep warm during the forthcoming wet and wintery weekend.

Stay safe,

Mrs Bates :)
