Sadly, we have had two children run over on nearby roads over the last few weeks (either on the journey to or from school), and both have resulted in trips to A&E and injuries.
Please speak to your children about road safety and ensure that the advice of stop, look and listen is followed through.
We will be doing some work also in school, to raise the profile of road safety, but in the meantime please have those conversations with your children and model safe road safety practice when you are with them in the big wide world.
We all want our children to be safe on the journey to and from school, and we are saddened by a further incident on Friday evening.
