Welcome to the Greasley Beauvale family, Reception class 25/26!

We are very excited to meet some new faces and to welcome those familiar faces coming up from Nursery.

We are very busy making plans. We are currently in the process of assigning your child a class.

At the parent meeting on Monday 2^nd June at 4pm, you will be told which class your child will be in. The classes are called Red 1 and Red 2. Your child will then be invited to attend transition events with their class. The dates are as follows:

• Thursday 26th June. Stay and play session for parents/carers and children

This is a chance for children to explore their new classroom with their parent or guardian. Your child's class teacher will be there to answer any questions you may have.

• Thursday 26th June. Picnic in the park

This is an informal event, where families can get together to meet and the children can have a play with some of their new friends. Bring a blanket and a picnic! (Weather permitting!) 

• Tuesday 15th July. Stay and play session for children only

This is a chance for the children to come and eplore thier new classroom with their new teachers and peers. 

At the parent meeting, you will be informed of the time slot for your child.

Thank you to those who attended the parent meeting on Monday. It was great to see some familiar faces and to meet new ones! I have attached the presentation below for you to refer to over the coming weeks.

We are excited to tell you the staffing in Reception for the next academic year.

Our teaching assistants will be: Mrs Hatton, Mrs Woodcock and Mrs Muntaquim. 

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to the Recpetion classroom on the 26th June. 

Monday 23rd June 

We are looking forward to welcoming you and your child into the Reception classroom this week!

Red 1 will be joining us at from 10.00 to 11.00 and Red 2 will be joining us at 13.30 to 14.30. There will be lots for the children to play with and they will be able to explore their new learning environment. You will get to meet some of the Reception team; who will be able to answer any questions you may have.  Please come to the School office and we will be there to welcome you.

Picnic in the Park- 11.30-13.00

Why not bring along a picnic rug and some lunch for a picnic outside school? This is an informal event, where you can mix with other families who will be joining Reception next academic year.  Some of the staff will pop by to say hello and we are hoping to have some pre-loved uniform available to buy for a donation to school funds.
