Dear Parents and Carers,
We hope you’ve had a relaxing and enjoyable summer break. We’re very much looking forward to welcoming the children back to school on Thursday – the staff team are ready and excited for the year ahead!
To start the new academic year, we spent our INSET day focusing on Trauma-Informed Practice in Schools. This powerful training helped us deepen and enhance our current understanding of how children's early experiences can affect behaviour, learning, and wellbeing. It was an inspiring and important session, and it will play a key role in shaping our approach moving forward.
As part of this work, we’ll be reviewing and updating our behaviour policy during the first half of the autumn term, with a view to sharing a revised version later in the term. Our aim is to ensure that our approach to behaviour reflects compassion, consistency, and a clear understanding of the needs of all our pupils, whilst also maintaining routines and boundaries.
We’ll keep you informed throughout the process and look forward to working together in the year ahead.
With best wishes,
Mrs Bates
Head Teacher
