On Friday, I shared with parents the new policy for mixed-age classes, class allocations and FAQs.
From September, we will be introducing mixed-age Year 1/2 classes. Our intention is still to provide the best possible learning experience for all our children.
Mixed-age classes offer wonderful opportunities for peer learning, flexible teaching, and a strong sense of community within the classroom. Children benefit from working at their own pace, developing confidence and independence, and learning to support one another across age groups.
To ensure families feel fully informed and confident about this transition, we’ve added a dedicated Mixed-Age Classes and Class Allocations Policy and a helpful FAQs document to our website. These can be found under the ‘Key Policies’ section.
