Learn. Grow. Succeed

🌟 Our New Vision and Motto: Learn. Grow. Succeed. ðŸŒŸ

We’re proud to announce a refreshed vision for our school, firmly rooted in the principles of a Thinking School and brought to life through our new motto: Learn. Grow. Succeed.

What This Means for Us:

  1. Learn

    • Every child has the innate ability to think, and we are committed to nurturing that. Thinking Schools emphasises that all learners can improve their thinking.

    • We teach thinking as an explicit skill, not just through content, but by showing students how to think, using thinking tools such as thinking frames, routines and moves.

    • Learning is child-centred. We embed thinking models across the school in every classroom, so that thinking is always connected to learning.

  2. Grow

    • Growth mindset is at the heart of our vision: we believe students can develop their abilities through effort, reflection, and persistence. This aligns with the Thinking Schools approach, which encourages reflective thinking and continuous growth.

    • We foster thinking habits such as perseverance, curiosity, and open-mindedness. This means that children not only learn but also grow as thinkers.

    • Our thinking tools help children to transfer their thinking processes into real-life contexts, not just in the classroom, but beyond school too.

  3. Succeed

    • Success for us isn’t just about test results; it’s about enabling children to becoming lifelong, self-directed learners who can think critically, creatively, and independently.

    • By embedding thinking across the curriculum, we ensure that children succeed in their understanding, not just in recall — they can apply their thinking skills to solve real problems.

    • Our school community (children, staff, parents) will thrive in a culture of thinking, where reflective, critical, and collaborative thinking is part of day-to-day life.

Why This Matters?

  • This vision aligns with established Thinking School principles, giving us a powerful framework for how we teach, learn, and grow together.

  • By adopting this thinking-centred approach, we are preparing our children not just for tests, but for an increasingly complex world where critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration are key.

  • Our motto “Learn. Grow. Succeed.” isn’t just a motto, it represents the journey we are on as a school: learning about thinking, growing our capacity to think well, and succeeding academically, emotionally, personally, and socially.

LEARN. GROW. SUCCEED.
