Keep up to date with the latest News here.
Head Teachers’ Awards this week have been awarded to:
Emmie – Green 2 – For using her phonics knowledge to write a recount. Lots of this writing was completed independently. Her confidence is really growing and developing.
Hunter – Yellow 1 – For a fantastic piece of writing. He wrote enjoyed taking risks by working independently without any adult help.
Zachary – Red 2 – For working so hard in his phonics lesson and joining in with writing a sentence without support.
Jax – Green 2 – For writing a super story. Jaz REALLY disliked writing but has made a super effort with his spellings, capital letters, full stops and editing! We are so impressed with his new-found confidence.
Connie – Red 2 – For working so hard in phonics and independently identifying the initial sounds in ‘cat’, ‘dog’ and ‘pig’ to write by herself.
WOW, what a week for writing! Especially those independent, risk-taking writers! Well done, everyone! Keep it up 😊
Sports Day - July 4th 🏅🏅🏅🏃🏼♂️🏃🏼♀️
Everyone is very excited to be at last having a Sports Day again. Many of our children were not at school the last time we held this event! We will have a Sports Day for Early years and Key Stage 1 in the morning beginning at 9:30am. KS2 ( Year 3-6 ) will start at 1:30pm.
Your child will have been put into a coloured team by their teacher who will be in touch to let you know your child's team colour. We would be very grateful if you can help your child to find a shirt in their team's colour to help identify our athletes during the event.
We are planning to have food for supporters to purchase at the event if you become a little hungry.
We are looking forward to a morning and afternoon of celebrating the determination and team spirit that the children display.
Please keep your fingers crossed for good weather.😊
As always, thank you for your support.

Our Multi-Faith Week will take place during the afternoon sessions next week. It will be an opportunity for all year groups across school to focus on RE and help children learn more about spiritual development for both themselves and others.
All of our Rainbow Values will be relevant next week. In particular, 'Inclusive yet Individual' and 'Respect and Acceptance,' will link strongly to our learning.
Children across school will be learning about different Faiths. Throughout the week, we have organised visitors from different religious backgrounds to come and support in school. The focus for all year groups will be about how different Faiths view creation. At the end of the week, we will all come together to share our learning.
On Friday this week, children in Years 3-6 will meet our first visitors during a special assembly about Hinduism.
Next week, don't forget to talk to your children about their learning in Multi-Faith week. Ask them about which religion they have learned about and how that religion recognises the world's creation.
We really hope that children will enjoy the week.

Thank you to all the Basket Ball team for a super match last night. It was all down to your sheer determination, enthusiasm and desire to improve that we comfortably won all matches.
Team playing and effort was undoubtedly the best it has ever been.
Thank you to all supporters too.
Mrs. Parnell
It was a great privilege to see the girl's football team in action again tonight, in a home game to Larkfields. It was super to see just how much the team has progressed since their last game.
Although victory was not to be in this 'friendly' match, it was so notable how the team spirit and the sheer enjoyment of the game shone through in their performance.
Thank you to all the supporters too!
Mrs. Parnell

Head Teachers’ Awards this week have been awarded to:
Haydn and Amelia – Violet 1 – For persevering on some extremely difficult maths, explaining their ideas and reasoning in the process.
Joshua – Orange 2 – for some fantastic independent writing! He has used his phonics to carefully segment words for spelling.
WOW, so many great things happening this week (many already reported through the blog and accounts from different teachers).
Today has been HOT HOT HOT, but the learning didn’t stop (just adapted) and the children have been great.
We are reminding the children currently about respect for the environment and we are having a BIG push on turning lights and screens off when not in use…why not get the children helping you with this at home 😊 We all need to save the pennies in this very expensive climate too as well as caring for our planet more!
Happy weekend, everyone! Happy Father’s Day to our great dads! 😊
Warm regards,
Mrs Bates
We are very excited to welcome our newest Greasley Beauvale members - our 3 Guinea Pigs!
They are a mother and her two daughters from Brinsley Animal Rescue Centre.
The children who have seen them already have been very welcoming and respectful and they are all excited to start spending some time with them after they have settled in.
Currently they have no name so we are welcoming suggestions from the school community.

District Sports! Go Greasley!
An absolutely amazing effort by everyone involved. Enthusiasm, determination and unfailing effort were uppermost in everyone's mind yesterday afternoon. There were many moments when tears were in the eyes of many adults in the stand. Thank you so much children. You were all fabulous.
To top it all - we came second in the whole event.
How many memorable performances were there? Way too many to count.
We have some photos (attached) . We will post some complete team photos when we have a chance to get one. This was not possible at the event so we have plans to take this on Friday. For this reason, can we ask that all t shirts are washed and back in school on Friday for this to happen.
Many thanks to all supporters and parents who were very vocal - as it should be.
We are so so proud.
Go Greasley- you are ones to watch!
Mrs Parnell
Well done to the year 5 and 6 singers who sung in assembly last Friday in front of the whole school and three governors too. They performed with confidence and poise and I have received many comments about their stage presence and musicality.
What a fabulous update to be able to write. Thank you to all who were involved.

Harry – Orange 1 – For an absolutely amazing effort with his phonics over the past few weeks, which has resulted in a very positive week with his phonics screening this week. A shining example of ‘believing in yourself’.

Well done this week to the Year 1 children, who have carried out their phonics screening check. I observed and moderated a few of the checks and the children have performed fantastically and made so much progress with their phonics this year. We are so proud of the children. There will be a few children to sit the check next week, where they have been absent – good luck to those children and well done to the rest.
Well done to all the adults who have worked with the children this year on phonics (including teaching, tutoring and interventions). A huge thanks also to Miss Atamaniuk and Mrs Bold, who have led on phonics (alongside the English Hub) over the past two years to develop phonics within the school. We are seeing great progress being made in Year 1 (and across school).
Happy weekend, everyone!
Warm regards,
Mrs Bates
