Permanent School Business Manager for September 2019

Work Pattern: full time, 37 hours per week (term-time +2 weeks)

Salary: NJC Hay Band A, points 23-28 pro rata – actual salary £24,146 to £28,531 per annum


Greasley Beauvale Primary School is a large and friendly school, where high expectations are held by the staff and children alike. The whole school community are keen to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and well-qualified individual to continue to develop the role of School Business Manager in our school.

Applications are welcomed from candidates who have experience of working in a school office. School Business Manager experience is desirable, but not essential.


The successful candidate will:

  • Lead on financial management and demonstrate strategic direction;
  • Be able to manage priorities, in a busy environment, with attention to detail and be able to meet deadlines;
  • Support the Senior Leadership Team and Governing Body;
  • Be able to use their skills to manage school finance to consequently drive school improvement;
  • Strive for excellence and be committed to achieving the strategic aims of the school, under the direction of the Headteacher;
  • Be creative and innovative and able to enthuse and motivate their staff team;
  • Be a strong team member with excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills;
  • Have a willingness to participate in the wider life of the school;
  • Be a positive role model demonstrating high expectations;
  • Be part of embedding, supporting and modelling the new vision, values and aims of the school;
  • Take on a lead role within the office team with appraisal and CPD;
