It was pretty quiet in school over the half term holiday, but the Rainbows were out :)
We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow as we venture into the new half term.
Warm regards,
Mrs Bates
Thank you, boys! Great work!

In addition to the success of the Rainbow Protectors, the kitchen staff have just become 2019 winners of the School Catering Team, following the school’s nomination.
Again, the staff attended the award ceremony in the half term holidays and were presented with flowers, fruit, vouchers, balloons and a £200 cheque for school funds.
The school are very proud of current achievements and we are hoping for some reports in the Eastwood Advertiser soon to share the current successes.
A HUGE thank you to Steph, Anne, Sue and Amanda for all that they do in the school kitchen. They don't just serve a dinner to the staff and children, they serve with a smile, care and attention. Greasley would not be the same without 'Steph' and the team.

The school continues to strive to be the very best it can be in many areas and the staff are wholly committed.
Mrs Wright, the Rainbow Protectors and her side kicks, have just been successful in their bid to raise funds to improve recycling facilities in school totalling £613.69.
The cheque for the project was presented on Tuesday 19th February, in half term, and some members of staff attended for a recycling tour of the Materials Recovery Facility in Forest Town, along with the presentation.
Thanks so much to Mrs Wright for her commitment to the school's recycling venture. We are all very proud of you!

Last night, the year 1 staff invited the parents into school for their homework showcase. This half term, the children have been set project-based homework for the whole half term, whereby they complete projects of their choice over the course of the 6 week period. This has proved to be very popular amongst children and parents. The communication has been very positive and this is something that we are definitely going to be considering in all year groups as we move through the second half of the academic year.
