Head Teacher's Blog!

Week Ending 2nd December 2016
This week, the following children have received a Head Teacher’s Award:
Toby – Year 2 – for fantastic independent joined up writing.
Leah – Year 2 – for fantastic independent work on subtraction.

WILF will be spending the week with class 8 due to 100% attendance.

Diary of the week:
The theme of the week for our assemblies this week is ‘Making a difference’ and it was great to be able to tell the children about the work I am doing at the moment with other schools. A great start to the week and it was really special hearing from the children how they think they are making a difference.

I was out of school on Tuesday. I was in London talking about the work we do to engage parents. I don’t think, as parents, you really realise what a difference you are making to your children by engaging in their learning. On Wednesday, class 6 had a super visit to Morrisons and we were told that we were part of a press release celebrating the good work that we do.

Yesterday was incredibly exciting in school as we welcomed reporters from the Evening Post and ITV into school. Ofsted have acknowledged the work that we do in partnership with our parents and it has gathered great interest from the press! There was certainly more lip gloss in school that there normally is!

Obviously, you can't believe everything that you read in the papers and we do not 'RANK' our parents.

Have a great weekend :)
