On Wednesday, I found out about more musical talent and success across school from a child in year 5. Mrs Deb Fox emailed to say that Catherine has passed her Grade 1 musical theory with distinction. Week Ending 7th December 2018

Welcome to another week at Greasley Beauvale Primary School. A busy one and a week of preparations and hard work.

The week started with Grandparents afternoon, where we opened our doors to over 300 grandparents. This was a fantastic event and one where the adults saw what we truly are about at Greasley Beauvale Primary School. There was an array of different activities around a Christmas theme and there was truly a festive feel. Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed sharing their time with the children during their Christmassy fun!

Throughout the week, I have heard Christmas concerts being practised and it has warmed my heart at this special time of year. The children, and staff, have worked incredibly hard and they all sound wonderful. I can’t wait to watch the EYFS and KS1 production throughout next week, and I look forward to welcoming you all in at this festive time of year to see what the children have been producing.

Thursday after school we had the annual Christmas Fair. I was so immensely grateful to the Greasley Hub who have worked tirelessly over the past few months to organise such a successful event. The stalls were well run, the chocolate tombola was a massive success and the raffle was extremely busy. Santa and his little elf met a lot of children and said afterwards what lovely children we have. It truly was a great festive feel, which was also created by our very own Greasley choir. I had a great time and look forward to sharing the news with you on how much we raised.

Have a great weekend everyone and I look forward already to another super week next week

Warm regards,
