Welcome to the Friends of Greasley Beauvale Primary School.

The Friends group have always been excellent at fundraising through a variety of discos, fairs, family nights and so on. The money raised has been used to buy everything from this website to homework diaries, from buses for class trips to Easter eggs. This group has changed over the years and is now referred to as 'The Hub'. Some of the work previously carried out by Friends is now done by Parent parliament who meet every half term. Parent Parliament is chaired by one of our parents Kate Stevenson.

Mrs Sandra Tantum leads 'The Hub' and they meet regularly to plan fund raising events. Miss Lauren McKellar provides the link with the Parent Parliament.

Update -

We had a successful Autumn Term. We held a Grandparents’ Day and a Parents’ Day both of which received over 100 visitors to our school. Many parents and grandparents knitted Christmas stockings and pudding and we raised £396 for school fund. A big “Thank You” to all our knitters! The Parents’ Group held a Christmas Fayre which raised in excess of £1000 which will help to subsidise school trips in the Spring Term.

We would love more parents or grandparents to come to our meetings and would welcome ideas of topics you would like us to discuss.
