Greasley Beauvale Primary School is a newly amalgamated primary school.  It opened on September 1st 2008 following the closure of Greasley Beauvale Junior School and Greasley Beauvale D H Lawrence Infant School.  A new school building is planned to open in 2010 at a cost of around £6 million.  Until this time the school will operate on two sites known as the Lawrence Site (previously the infant school) and the New Site (previously the junior school).  The new primary school building will be on the New Site.
